Upcycled Windows

Grace was commissioned to create two new window schemes using glass reclaimed from Victorian period stained glass panels collected by her client. Each of the original panels had to be carefully dismantled, saving and repairing as much of the original glass as possible. She then created designs, reusing the original glass and adding new sections, each chosen and painted to match the original and preserve the integrity of the antique glass. The images in the roundels were chosen by my client and had great personal meaning. "This unusual ‘upcycling’ project was hugely enjoyable and gave new life to damaged antique glass panels, combining old and new."
