The Garden Windows
A commission for two windows on the theme of ‘the garden’. The design is inspired by the flora and fauna in the garden of the house, bringing the garden into the home. The window features climbing roses, laburnum flowers in bloom, hostas, ferns, flowers butterflies and a robin. The windows were designed to soften the lines of the neighbouring building, while letting in as much light as possible into the room. Delicate, hand-painted details provide focal points in the window. The windows were created with paints, enamels and stains, kiln fired, and assembled with lead.
“We are absolutely delighted with the incredibly beautiful stained glass windows Grace has just created and installed for us. Grace visited our home a few months ago and felt inspired to bring a touch of our garden into our kitchen - the perfect solution to our previously vague ideas. The whole process has been so easy and enjoyable for us, we’re now trying to find another window to enhance”
