The Blue Bird Window
This window is inspired by the Minoan blue bird fresco painting of Knossos — a subject close to the client’s heart. The design recreates elements of the fragmented remains of the frescos. The window was designed to hide the ugly roof structure of the adjoining building, and uses shape, colour, glass type, and light to change the ambience and feel of the space inside the house. The details have been hand painted with paints, enamels and stains, kiln fired and assembled with lead.
